Description

This course builds upon the APS Seed Pathology Fundamentals course, diving deeper into the latest and most effective practices for developing and validating robust seed health assays. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding and practical tools tailored to their unique needs in research, industry, and regulatory settings. Additionally, those involved in editorial boards or manuscript reviews in plant pathology will discover valuable insights that enhance their perspectives in the field. 

Ten live or recorded lessons cover the following:

  • Critical components and criteria for developing a new method.
  • Analysis of the organizations and associations involved in seed health testing and validation.
  • Development & validation of different types of methods featuring real-world case studies.
  • Publishing seed health assays: tips for publishers, editors, and reviewers.
