About the Working Party

The Extension Working Party first became active in 1994. Since that time it has grown to include over 400 members from about 70 countries throughout the world. 

The objectives of the Working Party are as follows:

  1. To serve as a forum for information exchange among Extension forestry workers worldwide.
  2. To promote the concept of Extension through the transfer of knowldege and technology to improve the lives of people.
  3. To improve the quality, quantity, and effectiveness of Extension programs worldwide.
  4. To advance the quality and impact of research on Extension methodologies.
