The 39th Annual Meeting of ISCE took place in Prague, Czechia, from 14 July to 18 July 2024. This was the second time Prague hosts the ISCE meeting (for the first time in 1996). The event was held under the motto 'Chemical Ecology Returns to Prague'.

The meeting symposia covered a wide range of chemical ecology topics in diverse life forms spanning from microorganisms to humans, such as chemical communication and animal olfaction, insect-plant interactions, organic synthesis of natural products, biochemistry, molecular genetics and genomics, or applied chemical ecology.

ISCE2024 featured nearly 50 hours of regular talks organized into three parallel symposia, 6 hours of plenary lectures, and two poster sessions. During the traditional Wednesday free afternoon, attendees were able to choose from various excursions to Prague's city center, historical castles around Prague, or the famous Pilsener brewery. Following the meeting, there was a field trip to Czech forests affected by recent bark beetle outbreaks.
