This side-event 22 held on October 22, 2024, facilitated the exchange of perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of accessing and benefiting from Fast-Growing Trees (FGTs) in the context of Africa's transition to the bioeconomy. Through successful examples and country case studies, it will explore FGT production systems and value chain development, considering socioeconomic, environmental, and governance issues. This side-event is part of the project “Wood for Globe”.
