As of 30 June 2024, IUFRO has a new President and Board. The Board for the 2024-2029 term will be significantly more balanced in terms of gender and regional/cultural representation and led by the first female President in IUFRO's 132-year history.
Dr. Daniela Kleinschmit, Professor of Forest and Environmental Policy at Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany, succeeds Dr. John Parrotta from the US Forest Service, who has been IUFRO President since 2019.
Many researchers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland participated in the IUFRO World Congress and presented their findings in several sessions. Listen to interviews with some of them and learn about the honors and awards they received at the Congress.
