Lijuan Cui

Prof. Cui Lijuan, Ph.D. Supervisor and Research Fellow. Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Currently, she is serving as the Vice President of Chinese Academy of Forestry, Director of Wetland Research Center of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, Member of National Wetland Scientific and Technical Panel of China, Chief Science Popularization Expert of National Wetland Discipline, Director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Wetland Ecological Function and Restoration.

Prof. Cui Lijuan has been engaged in research of wetland ecological process and mechanism, wetland conservation and restoration methods. She has been successively awarded the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award of China, the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, and the National Innovation and Advancement Award for her contribution to the wetland research and policy. 

She has published more than 300 papers and 14 books, formulated 15 national and local standards. She is the first Chinese expert elected to the Scientific and Technical Review Panel of the Ramsar Convention and served as the chair of the working group, and she is also the first Chinese winner of the Merit Award of the Society of Wetland Scientists.
