Jinlong Liu

Jinlong Liu currently is Wu Yuzhang Distinguished Professor, School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, and Director, Centre for Forest, Environmental and Resources Policy, Renming University of China. Dr. Jinlong Liu earned his BS in forestry sciences and MS in Agroforestry from Nanjing Forestry University, Ph.D in Rural Development Sociology from Wageningen University. He was visiting scholar to Guelph University Canada (1999) and senior visiting scholar to University of British Colombia (2013). 

As a Project Director or Principal Investigator, he has received more than 20 million RMB (about US$ 1.6 million) during 2010-2020 from Chinese government, Ford Foundation and FAO, and other funding agencies. He leaded a team to do research on the fields of natural resource governance, community development, participatory forest management, environmental policy, and poverty reduction. He has published over 250 journal articles and 14 academic books. Honorable Professor, Hongkong University; Adjunct Professor, Wageningen University and Research, Netherlands.
