Alessandra De Marco is a biologist with a Senior Research permanent position in Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA). Master degree in Biological Science in La Sapienza University of Rome; Postgraduate in Biotechnological Applications (three years post degree) in the University of Rome Tor Vergata; PhD in Bio-sytematic and Plant Ecophysiology, University of Florence.
Vice chair of Working Group on Effects (WGE) in the Long Range Transboundary Air Pollution Convention (CLRTAP). Coordinator of IUFRO Research Group 8.04.00 Air Pollution and Climate Change, and Deputy Coordinator of IUFRO Division 8.
Main interest field are: Impacts of air pollution on vegetation, with particular interest on ozone and nitrogen deposition; climate change and air pollution interactions and their synergistic impacts on ecosystems; integrated assessment modelling for evaluating impacts of policies and measures to reduce air pollution; modelling and consequent validation of air pollution and climate change at different scale.
