Yaoxiang Li

Yaoxiang Li is a professor of Forest Engineering, Vice Dean of College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Director of China National Forest Engineering Key Experimental Education Center, and Director of China National Forest Engineering Key Virtual Reality Experimental Education Center, at Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China. 

Yaoxiang holds a B.S. and M.S. in Forest Engineering from Northeast Forestry University, and a Ph.D. in Forest Resources Science from West Virginia University, USA. She served as IUFRO Division 3 Deputy Coordinator from 2019 to 2024, and from 2024 to 2029.

Yaoxiang started her teaching and academic career in 1999 with over 25 years of working experience. Her research mainly focuses on harvesting machinery and equipment, computer modeling and simulation, wood non-destructive testing, and forest operations and environment, etc. She has participated in over 30 research projects and has over 160 research publications in her field.
