Marilyn Sabalvaro Combalicer

Dr. Marilyn S. Combalicer is an Associate Professor and the current Chair of the Department of Forest Biological Sciences, College of Forestry and Natural Resources (CFNR), University of the Philippines Los Baños. She completed her MS in Forestry and PhD in Forest Environmental Science at Seoul National University. She is the Managing Editor of the CFNR’s Ecosystems and Development Journal and has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Korea Forest Science and Technology Journal since 2017. 

Previously, she represented her country on the International Union of Forest Research Organization (IUFRO) International Council from 2019 to 2024. She is now one of the IUFRO President's Nominees for the 2024-2029 term. Additionally, she coordinates IUFRO Working Party 1.02.02, which focuses on the ecology and silviculture of moist forests in the tropics.
