Membership of IUFRO is open to any institution concerned with the promotion, support or conduct of research related to forests, trees and forest products.
Regional activities include a diversity of geographically focused activities at regional (supra-national) scale.
These activities include, for example, the development of extended policy briefs that take global assessments as a starting point and complement them with in-depth information on the topic relevant for the target region. Other activities within this workstream are regional assessments of specific topics, and regional workshops to disseminate scientific outcomes.
