Membership of IUFRO is open to any institution concerned with the promotion, support or conduct of research related to forests, trees and forest products.
Description
The compilation of all projects and measures implemented in the framework of the Austrian Wood Initiative between 2021 and 2024 is now also available in English.
The projects and measures presented are funded by the Austrian Forest Fund and structured around the following thematic modules: Governance, Construction, Innovation, Education, Communication, Infrastructure and Research.
They range from climate-friendly building to improving and developing legal and technical guidelines for the increasing use of wood in the construction sector, as well as basic and applied research for the use of wood as a raw and building material as well as energy source.
IUFRO has been involved in two of these projects, both of which belong to the Governance category:
