The year 2017 marks the 125th anniversary of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO). This milestone provides a timely opportunity to present an overview of the history of IUFRO since its foundation in 1892.
This book has therefore been published by IUFRO with the aim to contribute to maintaining a record of IUFRO's history for the future. The publication places particular emphasis on significant historical developments in IUFRO since the centennial celebrations in 1992 and thus serves as a guide to IUFRO's work and strategies over the past 25 years.
A limited number of hardcopies were available at the IUFRO booth at the Congress in Freiburg.
