While focusing largely on the 26 IUFRO World Congresses held between 1893 and 2024, the book also provides a fascinating and well-documented history of forestry and forest science in Russia since the late 18th century, and of the leading personalities and important contributions that Russian forest scientists, universities and research organizations have made to IUFRO since its very earliest years.
