Membership of IUFRO is open to any institution concerned with the promotion, support or conduct of research related to forests, trees and forest products.
The IUFRO Seed Physiology and Technology Working Group (WG 2.09.03) is a discussion forum and working party comprising seed scientists world-wide. Read more about the History of the Unit.
The main aims are to:
- Provide a forum for discussion of forest tree seed problems and their solutions in both temperate and tropical forests; and
- Exchange information on forest tree seed physiology, particularly relating to seed dormancy and seed technology (including processing, stratification, storage and testing).
